Thief is very fragile and you need to really watch for dodges and evades on your slot skills. Yes you can spam dagger 2 but it's single target and if you use all your initiative, you're stuck to autoattack. IMO not the best class to learn the game I would recomend Necro or Ranger. Necro is pretty tanky with second health bar and lot of AoEs.

It's very forgiving and can hit so hard with autoattacks that champions in shroud feel like normal mobs outside shroud.
